Hose Monster is set to showcase Smart Monster™ 2.0, its next-generation digital flow testing device, at the NFPA Conference and Expo (Booth 518) in Las Vegas, June 22–24. The device is purpose-built for fire protection professionals who require reliable, accurate data in demanding field environments, and it is designed to replace traditional analogue needle gauges without any hardware modification.
At the show, the Hose Monster team will provide hands-on demonstrations of the full Smart Monster™ 2.0 workflow: real-time data capture, live flow calculations, Long Range Connect™ cloud synchronisation, and seamless integration with field crew operations.
Key Capabilities
• Full Compound Pressure — Measures -15 to 300 PSI in a single device, handling both vacuum and positive pressure for every test type.
• 300-ft. Wireless Range — Bluetooth® 5.x Low Energy keeps operators off the gauge and in control from a safe distance.
• Long Range Connect™ (LRC™) — Extends live data sharing beyond Bluetooth® range via Wi-Fi or cellular, enabling whole teams to view the same data simultaneously from any location.
• Rugged by Design — IP-X8 rated and drop tested for the most demanding field environments.
• Instant Digital Reports — View, record, and export complete test reports directly from the device. No handwritten notes. No re-entry errors.
Use Cases
• Fire Pump Testing (NFPA 25) — Live suction and discharge monitoring with real-time flow calculations visible to the entire team, eliminating the need to shout across equipment rooms.
• Hydrant Flow Testing (NFPA 291) — Simultaneous multi-hydrant data captured in one app, with accurate residual and static readings and no manual conversions required.
• Standpipe & Rooftop Testing — One device at the source, with live readings visible on any connected device at any location.
NFPA Presentation
In addition to the booth demonstration, Hose Monster will deliver a presentation titled “Precision in Protection: Why Accuracy Matters in NFPA 25 Flow Testing” at the Exhibitor Presentation Theatre 2 on Monday, June 22, from 5:00 to 5:30 PM.
