New Space Technologies s.r.o. will officially unveil KALAN, a newly developed 20-ton amphibious tracked rescue vehicle designed for flood response, evacuations, and disaster operations in terrain inaccessible to conventional wheeled vehicles.
The world premiere of the vehicle will take place during INTERSCHUTZ 2026.
Developed in cooperation with the Rescue Unit of the Fire Department of the Czech Republic, KALAN is engineered to operate in extreme environments where standard rescue equipment faces limitations.
The tracked platform is capable of traversing difficult terrain, floating, and operating directly on water while transporting evacuees, rescue teams, cargo, or emergency equipment.
According to NST, the vehicle is intended for a wide range of emergency-response missions, including flood evacuations, humanitarian logistics, firefighting support, and disaster relief operations.
The modular platform can also be adapted for specialised civilian or military applications.
The official live presentation of KALAN is scheduled for 2 June at 2 pm (local time), at the outdoor Booth F74.
Representatives from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Germany and senior officials from the Czech Fire Rescue Service are expected to attend the unveiling ceremony.
KALAN is part of NST’s broader portfolio of advanced defence, rescue, and special-purpose vehicle projects.
